Hey-hey! So, it seems as if I've been avoiding our blog once again. Oops. With autumn approaching, now would be a great time to turn a new leaf. Get it? Fall, leaves... anyway, there are a ton of updates to share. So, here we go.
When Glints Collide will be available for pre-sale within the next two weeks. You'll be able to buy the book via Amazon Kindle for a measly $0.99 during the sale. Prefer printed books? You're in luck! We'll have the book available on our Etsy shop for pre-order, too. It will be $10 during the pre-sale, and will then go to $12 around 11:59 pm on October 9. There will also be a way to unlock free shipping. Stay tuned for more updates on this!
Fluky Fiction is hosting a 31 Days of Halloween this October.
If you're an author or artist of any form, please join us! The idea is to share something horror related each day of October. We'll end the month with a couple of giveaways. Contact me for more information if you'd like to get in on the event. More details on this to come!
Oh, and we're hosting a Halloween Book Launch Party. I was invited to hold an event at the local library/cultural center. So, we're going to take advantage of there being a Friday the 13th this October and will use it to launch When Glints Collide. Drama students from the local high school will be performing readings of some of the stories featured in the collection. There will also be live music, a costume contest, prizes, and -- most importantly -- food. I'm going to try to stream the event live via FB (and Twitter?). If this fails, I'll document the event and post photos and videos that evening.
We've signed on a new author! Meet Marc Watson, our friend from Canada. Marc has entrusted us with publishing his debut novel, Death Dresses Poorly. I personally think the book is hilarious, and it's a bonus that the author has been so great to work with. It's been a lot of fun so far, and I'm excited to share more about his work with you. Death Dresses Poorly has a tentative release of December 2017. Check him out on his website, on Facebook , and on twitter at @writewatson.
We're lookin' for love. Our current anthology project will be a collection of bizarre love/romance stories. The idea is to find short stories that aren't your typical love stories. I'll be honest. I'm not a huge fan of romance fiction. Send us some stuff that will make me change my mind!
